About Mission Media
I grew up in a kind of religion where the Bible wasn't something you read for yourself, it was interpreted for you by someone the organization deemed qualified, and that was the understanding you were handed. So I never opened it, not as a kid, not as a teenager and not as an adult because I didn’t even know it was available for me to open…
By 27, I was lost. I was in a relationship that had me trapped, dealing with an addiction I couldn't fix on my own, and no program or person was going to save me. So I reached for God, in a desperate attempt to find something to fix my broken life. I ran from the town I had lived in and moved trying to escape things from my past that always kept catching up to me. Walking into that small community church that one Sunday morning changed my whole life.
What I learned there changed everything: the Bible is for all of us. God speaks to you no matter your age, gender, race, or background…. you don't need a theology degree or a "church resume" to understand it or apply it to your life. Jesus' teachings, written so long ago, still hold up against anything modern life throws at you. He didn't come for the people who already had it figured out. He came for the hungry ones, ready to learn. He came for the desperate, in need of help. He came for the sick, in need of healing.
This is what Mission Media is. We can live like Jesus did. We can learn from what He left us. And you don’t need any kind of special experience to do it… Just a willing heart. Mission Media is here to help with living holy along the way. We are all in this together!
